The Gatoli-King family was like any other family, like mine, lively boys, husband in the same business, shopping, friends. Reading this book took me to a place that all consumed me. It showed a family that with the unthinkable shocking heartbreak, fall apart and pull together. I questioned my own beliefs and strengths and forces you to ask yourself ‘How would we cope’? A must read that will tear you apart but also make you laugh till you cry. Gina’s and Kenan’s story is an inspiration and may his memory live on forever.
…………………..
I laughed, I cried and I was inspired. Not only does Oi Oi Saveloy have a message of hope and inspiration, it also serves to educate. I am so glad I read this book!

This is a book that truly tugs at the heart strings, it’ll make you laugh, cry, hurt and smile.Sharp, cuttingly honest and open. From the first page to the last you’ll live it and breathe it, no way you’ll just let it sit there. Thanks to the author for sharing such a painful time in such an intimate way.My thoughts are with you and your family.

Oh what do I say. I could not put this book down until I had read it all. Everything was so heartfelt. The book was really sad but enjoyable at the same time if that can be said! I have recommended to everyone and the book is now being read around our family. What a wonderful family x.

It’s my understanding that Gina Gatoli-King and Karen Mullally are first time writers. If so, they are to be congratulated on a truly extraordinary book. Let me sum it up like this. Two male friends of mine who don’t normally read anything apart from the sports pages, were caught by their wives, creeping down the stairs in the dead of night to take in a few more chapters. I’m not sure that there is a better critique of this book than that.
