Particularly helpful if you are thinking about it but are unsure. There is a balance of shared cultural experiences and precise tactical information. Helped me communicate with my spouse and child to understand how they might like to live in Spain. I lived in Spain for 6 years but as I prepare to move my family, this book helped me share with them what might be better about life in Spain and what might take some getting used to. For example, I would ask my husband to read a chapter and then discuss with him what my experience had been like on the same topic, whether it was getting residency or opening a bank account. If I had just rambles on without the book’s structure to direct me, I might have sounded like a stream of consciousness and forgotten an important topic, like deciding whether to send our child to an English, bilingual or Spanish school.
